Ethnography of a Wood
(working title)How on Earth could this be the work of anything less than sorcery? You mean to say that the faces in the trees remain still even when we leave them alone? Once upon a time, trolls lived in these mountains and mer-folk inhabited these waters. Where have they gone? These mythical tales rooted in the land help to weave our collective soul. Have we lost sight of them for good? We immerse ourselves in the mountains, and listen again to the voice of the world.
We are in the process of collecting stories to accompany our images in this project. It is an ongoing exchange between photography and words & viewer and the imagination. This will slowly shape itself into a book in collaboration with NECK PRESS

Can you not sense the spirit
that joins the low clouds
as they roll in?
